A7InfoLR ist ein neues Plugin für Lightroom Classic, das die wichtigsten Funktionen von A7Info direkt in den Katalog bringt: AF-Punkt-Overlays auf dem Vorschaubild und die vollständigen Sony-MakerNotes — aufgeteilt in sieben Kategorien — ohne externe Hilfsprogramme.

A7InfoLR is a new plugin for Lightroom Classic that brings the most important functions of A7Info directly into the catalogue: AF point overlays on the preview image and the complete Sony MakerNotes — split into seven categories — without any external helper software.

Das Plugin zeigt drei Arten von AF-Markierungen, die einzeln ein- und ausgeblendet werden können:

The plugin displays three types of AF markers, each individually toggleable:

• Fadenkreuz an der tatsächlichen Fokusposition (AF-Punkt)
• Tracking-AF-Rahmen (blau) für das verfolgte Motiv
• Eye-AF-Rahmen (magenta) für das erkannte Auge

• Crosshair at the actual focus position (AF point)
• Tracking-AF rectangle (blue) for the tracked subject
• Eye-AF rectangle (magenta) for the detected eye

Die Overlays werden nativ von einem eingebetteten Helfer gerendert und als PNG auf das Vorschaubild gelegt — Bildgröße, Zuschnitt und Orientierung werden korrekt berücksichtigt.

The overlays are rendered natively by an embedded helper and composited as PNG onto the preview image — image size, crop and orientation are handled correctly.

Neben dem Vorschaubild zeigt A7InfoLR alle Sony-Aufnahmedaten in sieben Reitern: Camera, File, Picture, Exposure, Lens, AF und GPS. Die Felder entsprechen dem Umfang der Desktop-App A7Info — derselbe Sony-Decoder kommt in beiden Programmen zum Einsatz.

Alongside the preview, A7InfoLR shows all Sony shooting data in seven tabs: Camera, File, Picture, Exposure, Lens, AF and GPS. The fields match the scope of the A7Info desktop app — the same Sony decoder is used in both programs.

Das Plugin liest die Sony-MakerNotes direkt aus ARW- und JPEG-Dateien — kein ExifTool, kein Homebrew, keine Shell-Skripte. Qt 6 (Core-Bibliothek) ist im Plugin-Paket enthalten, sodass auf dem Zielrechner keine zusätzliche Software installiert werden muss.

The plugin reads Sony MakerNotes directly from ARW and JPEG files — no ExifTool, no Homebrew, no shell scripts. Qt 6 (Core library) is bundled inside the plugin package, so no additional software needs to be installed on the target machine.

Installation

Installation

ZIP entpacken, dann a7infolr.lrplugin in Lightroom Classic einbinden: Datei → Zusatzmodule verwalten → Hinzufügen.

Unzip, then add a7infolr.lrplugin in Lightroom Classic: File → Plug-in Manager → Add.

Windows: keine weiteren Schritte erforderlich. Falls beim ersten Aufruf eine Fehlermeldung zu einer fehlenden DLL erscheint, muss das Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2022 (x64) installiert werden — auf den meisten Windows-10/11-Systemen ist es bereits vorhanden.

Windows: no further steps required. If a missing DLL error appears on first use, install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2022 (x64) — already present on most Windows 10/11 systems.

macOS: Da das Plugin nicht von Apple notarisiert ist, muss die Gatekeeper-Sperre einmalig aufgehoben werden — entweder über die Systemeinstellungen (kein Terminal nötig) oder per Terminal-Befehl.

macOS: Since the plugin is not notarised by Apple, the Gatekeeper block must be removed once — either via System Settings (no Terminal required) or with a Terminal command.

Variante A – Systemeinstellungen (einfacher, kein Terminal):

Option A – System Settings (easier, no Terminal):

1. Plugin in Lightroom Classic einbinden: Datei → Zusatzmodule verwalten → Hinzufügen, Ordner a7infolr.lrplugin auswählen.
2. Plugin aufrufen: Datei → Zusatzmodule → A7InfoLR – Aufnahmeinfos anzeigen … – macOS zeigt eine Meldung, dass das Hilfsprogramm blockiert wurde.
3. Systemeinstellungen → Datenschutz & Sicherheit öffnen, nach unten scrollen bis zum Abschnitt Sicherheit. Dort erscheint der Hinweis auf das blockierte Hilfsprogramm – auf Trotzdem öffnen klicken und mit dem Admin-Passwort bestätigen.
4. Plugin in Lightroom erneut aufrufen – beim ersten Mal erscheint noch ein Bestätigungsdialog, danach läuft es ohne weitere Meldungen.

1. Add the plugin in Lightroom Classic: File → Plug-in Manager → Add, select the a7infolr.lrplugin folder.
2. Run the plugin: File → Plug-in Extras → A7InfoLR – Show Capture Info … — macOS will show a message that the helper tool was blocked.
3. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down to the Security section. You will see a notice about the blocked helper — click Open Anyway and confirm with your admin password.
4. Run the plugin again in Lightroom — a confirmation dialog appears once, after that it runs without further prompts.

Variante B – Terminal (ein Befehl, erledigt alles auf einmal):

Anschließend in Lightroom Classic: Datei → Zusatzmodule verwalten → Hinzufügen, den Ordner a7infolr.lrplugin auswählen. Der Menüeintrag ist danach von allen Modulen aus unter Datei → Zusatzmodule → A7InfoLR – Aufnahmeinfos anzeigen erreichbar.

Then in Lightroom Classic: File → Plug-in Manager → Add, select the a7infolr.lrplugin folder. The menu entry is then accessible from all modules under File → Plug-in Extras → A7InfoLR – Show Capture Info.

Beta-Status und bekannte Einschränkungen

• JPEG: AF-Overlay-Daten sind seltener eingebettet als in ARW
• Manuelle Develop-Rotation (über die EXIF-Orientierung hinaus) wird nicht berücksichtigt
• Keine automatischen Updates
